TBCSS: S03E06 – The Last Resort

The Alliance is doomed. Daltor is seriously wounded, Shena is lying wheezing, Alron is barely regaining consciousness and Rahed is stuck under a collapsed pillar. The evil wizard, drunk with power and completely out of his mind, insults and mocks the poor knights. In his delirium, he quickly jumps between one body and the other in an attempt to decide which one he should kill first. He even talks to himself, perhaps because, deep down, Sendor’s soul is still present and it’s interfering with the absolute wickedness of the sword or perhaps just because his dark power has completely detached him from reality.

Rahed is trapped, but he is not ready to give up. The alliance is the only chance for the world to survive and it is made up of heroes whose value has no boundaries, whose courage is unparalleled and whose perseverance is unmatched. The elf king takes a deep breath and with a firm voice, tries to instill faith in his friends:

Honorable kings, I know we’re exhausted, but we must make one last effort to overturn the fate of the world! We are wise knights, depositaries of a wide knowledge of magic arts, we must appeal to all our strength and join our powers, this our last hope.

With an excruciating cry of pain, Rahed pulls his arm from under a stone and tries desperately to grab the Magic Rod that had rolled next to him. His arm extends more and more, his bloody hand painstakingly makes its way pressing its fingertips and nails against the floor, dragging itself until the king’s able to brush against the weapon and make it roll towards Alron.

Shena, in tears, makes her ring turn around her finger twice. Daltor waves his sword in a triangular motion, while Rahed holds his Gold Bow and recites a magic formula. The king of the North, still stunned, grabs the Rod, beats it twice on the ground and draws a circle. This ritual evokes the power of the four elements that gets released with an unprecedented power: all the weapons begin to levitate and get closer to each other, attracted by a vortex. When they come into contact, a very intense light beam is released that gets absorbed by the Silver Sword.

Magic gives new strength to Daltor’s sword, new hope to everyone’s heart. Reinvigorated by the new power and incited by his companions, Daltor stands up and stops the frantic wander of the Master of Darkness.

6. THE LAST RESORT

[Storyteller]

It seems like the end is drawing near,
everyone’s on the ground
and Sendor can’t decide on who he should drop the sickle first.
Rahed is not ready to give up yet,
He’s not willing to let go
and with firm voice incites the other kings:

[Rahed]

We need to step up and do something,
I know we’re weak and paralyzed,
but if we don’t do everything
in our power then tomorrow will never come.
We are the custodians of wisdom,
of millennial magic arts,
so there must be something we can do
to prevent a dreadful end!
[Sendor] in your death throes…

[Storyteller]

Dipped in the blood, the dust and the dirt,
the kings crawl to the floor, exhausted and hurt,
reaching for their weapons,
summoning strength for their last resort,
the only hope
to survive.

[Storyteller]

The rod is summoning the force
of the magic elements,
the bow attracts the ring and then they start floating in mid-air
and as the weapons come in contact
they create a beam of light
that suddenly goes into Daltor’s sword.

[Rahed]

Oh look at the silver sword shining!
It’s a dazzling blinding glow
and what we are witnessing is
the eternal fight between light and the dark.
We are the custodians of wisdom,
of millennial magic arts,
I knew there’d be something we could do
to prevent a dreadful end!

[Sendor]

In your death throes…

[Storyteller]

Dipped in the blood, the dust and the dirt,
the kings crawl to the floor, exhausted and hurt,
reaching for their weapons,
summoning strength for their last resort,
the only hope
to survive.

[Storyteller]

Dipped in the blood, the dust and the dirt,
the kings crawl to the floor, exhausted and hurt,
reaching for their weapons,

[Rahed]

This isn’t over horrible monster,
our tenacity can’t be denied.
This isn’t over horrible monster,
Daltor get up, send him where he belongs!
